Member Benefits
1. All Chamber business members are listed on the Chamber's web
site (www.westshoreschamber.org). The Chamber offers free links
to your business web site and email address.
2. The Chamber will help promote the Grand Opening of any new Chamber
business member with a ribbon cutting ceremony and announcement
on the Chamber's web site and publications.
3. The Chamber will host mixers in which members of business can
meet and exchange ideas and introduce their business to other members
and the community at large.
4. The Chamber will explore the possibility of joining the Business
Expo, which offers the members of participating Chambers the opportunity
to promote their businesses to thousands of potential customers.
5. The Chamber will seek special rates through local publications
to advertise member's businesses.
6. The Chamber will host a series of guest speakers which will
afford members the opportunity to meet leaders in the business community
as well as elected officials.
7. The Chamber will sponsor local events that will provide member
businesses the opportunity to participate in community activities.
8. The Chamber will issue a plaque to those outstanding businesses
that significantly participate in the growth of our community and
actively engage in providing the youth an opportunity to enrich
their lives in a drug-free environment.
9. The Chamber will be working on several larger projects including
a State Fair and establishment of a Local Government, giving member
businesses the opportunity to reach out to a broader audience.
10. The Chamber will honor an individual "Person of the Year"
who demonstrates outstanding citizenship and hold a reception in
their honor.
11. The Chamber will become active with other Chambers of Commerce
in both Imperial and Coachella Valleys and will open up new opportunities
for its members to participate in events sponsored by other Chambers.
It is extremely important that you consider a membership in the
West Shores Chamber of Commerce either as a business member or individual
member, even if the above mentioned member benefits do not apply
to you directly.
Your community will be making significant changes in the near
future and these changes will either be beneficial or detrimental
to the community.
The West Shores Chamber of Commerce will be one of the few organizations
locally that will provide you with an opportunity to actively participate
in these changes.
With your help and support, the members of the Board of Directors
of the West Shores Chamber of Commerce will institute those policies
and procedures that will lay the foundation for Salton City and
surrounding communities to proceed in the direction of self government
and take control of their own futures.
Enclosed you will find a membership application and a questionnaire
regarding city planning. Please fill out both forms and mail them
back to the Chamber at the address provided on the membership form.
If you are unable to become a member at this time, the Board would
greatly appreciate it if you could still send back the city planning
questionnaire as it will be extremely important in our future planning.
